How to Cook Bacon in the Oven

Bacon. My family loves it. But I hate cooking bacon. You have to cook it in a low tempature, flip it every 5 minutes, and grease sprays everywhere. Ugh. Then, I cooked it in the oven. So easy, so crispy, and no grease spraying in hard to reach places. This is also a great garnish for my  Gluten Free Potato Soup.

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a pan with sides with parchment paper. Put a cooling rack on top of the paper.

2. Place the bacon in a single layer on the cooling rack. They can be touching and even slightly over lapping, but not right on top  of another piece.

3. Cook for 15-20 minutes until bacon is crispy. Transfer to a paper lined plate, and after it cools down slightly enjoy.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

  1. I don’t prepare bacon too often, but when I do this is the only way to go! I love this method and switched to it a couple years ago and have never been back to the pan since! Thanks for sharing, many cooks will benefit from this post!
